Report: Gazprom, Hungary in talks to prolong long-term gas deal
MOSCOW, Dec 12 (PRIME) -- Russian gas giant Gazprom is in negotiations with the Hungarian government to prolong a long-term gas supply contract signed in 1975, Hungarian newspaper Vilaggazdasag reported on Monday.
Gazprom is also open for a long-term cooperation in gas storage in Hungary. The company is considering construction of an electric power station in Hungary, and liquefied natural gas (LNG) transportation via the Danube River.
Russian gas exports to Hungary rose 15.2% to 6.14 billion cubic meters in 2015.
